Our project to day was not planned. Not really. But, my sister-in-law and her daughter moved back in with her mom and gave us tons of stuff for my daughter’s room. We decided to use this opportunity to purge, reorganize, and move furniture.
As a child, I always wanted a room that was cozy, fun, and a reflection of who I was. unfortunately, sharing a room with two sisters hindered my ability to pour a bit of myself into our room’s decor. I was the youngest too, so truth be told, I didn’t stand a chance.
I vowed that my daughter would have a great room! It would be fun, functional, and hers. All hers. Below are the pictures of what we did. I forgot to take any before pictures, but trust me, it looked a lot worse. And while it is not finished, I think it looks great.

So cute! I love the bed. And the couch. Now throw some paint (or decals) up on those walls and you are in business! ; – )
Thank you. No decals on the wall. I would rather use her artwork.
Great room. I never had a couch in my bedroom as a kid, lucky girl. I think we’ll be doing the purge this weekend – just got approved to rent a townhouse. Have to move by the 15th EEEKK if you saw my house now you would know why I’m EEKING. Anyway cute room.
Stephanie’s last blog post..what ford would you drive to blogher?
Dang, I wish my room looked like that back when I was living in mama’s nest! Her room is pimped out, gone head!
Awwww, I LOVE it… and Im sure your daughter does too! Its so pretty and girly!!!
**sigh* Seeing such girly projects like this makes me wanna start trying again for that daughter soon, hehe!
