Sometimes, going back to the tried and true favorites after trying some new authors sparks my creativity and encourages me to write. Reading authors like Nalini Singh, Kit Rocha, and Seressia Glass is like taking a course in the art of writing. Their work is so much more than hot and steamy! It’s well-crafted, character-centered and enough to take me away from my real-life worries.

I’m reading quite a bit and it makes sense to share just what I am reading here. After all, this blog is about me as a writer and to learn about me as a writer, it’s important to know what I like to read as well.

Currently Re-Reading

I’m on book 2 of Nalini Singh’s The Guild Hunter series. It’s the second time I’m reading the series and I love it even more now than I did the first time. The story is so well-fleshed out and the characters are strong, three-dimensional, and real- despite their paranormal universe/existence.

About to Read

I mentioned in my last post that I was planning on reading this, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I plan to start it in the next two days.

Truth be told, I stumbled on to Francis Ray‘s books on Goodreads. I’m not sure if I am going to read these on Kindle or find them in print so that I can savor theme. The Grayson’s of New Mexico looks like something I will want to get into my hands!

What are you reading or rereading?
